Melrose was appointed to refurbish an existing dental clinic in Teneriffe, converting the space to suit a new dermatology practice. The project responds to the need for a purpose-built medical environment that supports specialist treatment while retaining the character of the existing building.
The works involved reconfiguring the internal layout to accommodate consultation rooms, treatment areas and support spaces aligned with dermatology services. Careful consideration was given to DDA compliance, ensuring accessibility requirements were met while maintaining a cohesive and considered aesthetic throughout the clinic.
The project required immediate mobilisation and was delivered across three carefully staged phases, incorporating both after-hours and standard working periods to meet programme requirements. Under a cost plus delivery model, clear communication around design development and cost ensured a transparent process and a smooth construction period.
